- Bodily Injury - $20,000 per person/$40,000 per
accident

Coverages
Sorting through insurance coverages can often be confusing
and frustrating. Below are some general concepts about auto insurance and
the common coverages that are offered. For details specific to your
policy, please refer to the policy language issued by your insurance company.
Only your policy can accurately describe the coverages afforded to you.
Liability Insurance
Liability insurance covers damage you may do to other people (bodily injury) or
their property (property damage) up to your policy limits. Bodily injury
is related to the injuries caused to others and property damage is damages to
another person's physical asset, examples maybe the other person's car, the
city's street pole, etc.
Physical Damage
Physical damage is the coverage to fix or replace for your vehicle if damaged.
You will be responsible for the deductible first and then the company will pay
the amount beyond that. People often refer to this as full coverage,
however full coverage is actually a combination of liability and physical damage.
Also note that there are some excluded situations with all coverages.
Medical Payments
Medical payments is a coverage to pay for
you and your passenger’s medical bills arising out of an accident, regardless of fault
in the accident.
Financial Reasonability / SR-22
SR-22 is a certificate filed by an insurance company with a state showing that
an individual has at least the state mandated limits of liability coverage.
The filing is typically required for a period of time depending on the reason
why the filing is needed. Most common reasons for needing this filing is
driving without insurance and reinstating an already suspended license. We
have many companies that are able to file this for you. Please call for
details.
